Soften the cream cheese in a medium sized bowl. Chop the gherkins and parsley and add them to the cream cheese. Measure the tomato sauce, sherry, and stock powder and pour into the cream cheese mix. Grate in the cheddar cheese, and mix thoroughly. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for one hour. Meanwhile chop the walnuts finely.
